Help needed guys with a good dish for the dm800

Vu+ duo with a 300gb hdd also dm500 and tecnomate 5200 with a 1m and 1.1m motorized dishes and minidish fixed to 28.2

Hi all

Im going to make the plunge and invest in a motorized set-up for the dm800 im living in belfast and i live in a big ******* valley so will i need a bigger dish then for using this with 13e 19.2e and 28.2e. im pretty handy but how hard is it to correctly aligned this? would a sat finder do the job or will i need a v accurate meter for this.
 
Being in a valley (Of any description!) is largely irrelevant in terms of receiving signals from Satellites 24,000 miles away.

The only possible problem is obstructions very close to the line of sight to the arc and unless you live in a crevasse or ravine, again the valley will be irrelevant.

Now close trees, buildings etc. can cause problems, but not ******* valleys!
 
There's a couple of helpful motor set up guides at the top of this section should you wish to attempt an install.
 
Its not that hard to align your own setup once you grasp the basics, You should need no more than an 80cm dish bud for the sats your after.
 
You have a excellent satmeter in your DM800.
