My Satellite Setup
Sky HD x 2 running from Sky standard Dish
2 bush Freesat Boxes running from seperate dish

Morning all.

I have 2 basic freesat units running from a Raven Zone 1 dish. Since install (3 weeks) i hae a problem where if i try to have both units on and viewing the signal cuts out on whichever was switched on first. i have checked the cabling and confirmed that the 2nd box does have a unique feed it hasn't been bunny hopped. and is running to a quad LNB. i'm genuinely baffled.

any help appreicated.

Try using the spare LNB Ports and see what happens.

Sounds like a bad LNB.

Will give it shot. Thank you!

You do have separate cables running from the dish to each receiver and not just splitting the cable??

Yes, the symptoms fit ........... but OP seems to have considered this. Worth another look, methinks.

Yes, i'm not that bad. *:O)

No offense meant to you laj - one thing we have learned over the years is never to make assumptions, and double check everything in cases like this..

You wouldnt believe the number of times we have made incorrect assumptions over the year because one critical fact was omitted during the description and no-one thought to ask. Tivu will back me up - he's been on the forum a long time :)

Hmm this is an odd one. You would have to start thinking the lnb is faulty wouldnt you.

Have heard of cases where a change of LNB has solved similar problems, fortunately minidish LNBs are inexpensive.

Yes, which ever LNB it is, try a different make. The problem is more to do with the cheapo Freesat boxes used, but for some reason they work OK with some LNBs but not others.
