hi all dont know if this the right place to post but here go,s i live cyprus near larnaca, i have a horizion hdsm usb meter great meter for uk ,but like i said i live cyprus lol and i just want to ask a real nooooob question ,is 13degrees hotbird in uk same as 13degrees hotbird in cyprus i was asked this when i bought my meter and it got me thinking ,i can not get a lineup for 13dg hotbird whilst useing this meter in cyprus but can in uk ,hope you know what i mean as it can be confusing as it was to me ,

1 more thing what are the best sat boxes for cyprus and whish sat would you lineup on ?

Hi

Larnaca is about 33E(latitude) so Hotbird is actually about 20 deg west of south

Hotbird is probably good for starters and 7W or 26E some good fta channels here

Same beam in Uk as East Europe just around 46 EIRP over there according to lyngsat:).
 
ok so the meter i bought is no good as it as sat posions already installed lol and i belive that my version can not be updated _http://download.horizonhge.com/download.asp?calltype=SATHOME
that is the meter i got guess i may have to send it back to uk lol :-Nooo
 
just got a e-mail from the makers of this meter they sent me all new settings and the helped me sort it out now all is great and the meter is fine and woeking as it should do thanks for you help and a big thanks to rob from horizonhge.com
