HELP! new boy needs more advice?

Hello again all.
I didnt listen and still went out and got the 99 pound cheapy B&Q FTA setup. Its up and running, with about a million ish? foreign channels of which i'm impressed.
My quest is? why cant i get any of the normal freeview channels? they are programmed on the screen but it just says "no signal"
Im guessing that im pointing at the wrong sat? if so does anyone know what one? and where do i point it next?
Ive written a list of all the chans i can get, if that would help anyone?
Apols for being such a sat thicky, but im getting into this satellite malarky.
Any advice gratefully received

Hang on - lets get your terminology sorted out or we are going to be talking at cross purposes.

Freeview refers to the DTT digital terrestrial service through your aerial, and that box cannot pick it up.

You need to refer to Freesat - and from the sounds of it your dish is pointing at the wrong satellite for that.

You need to have the dish pointing at the 28E satellite constellation to get the free uk channels.
 
Give us the list of channels you can see (or at least some of them) and we'll tell you which satellite you are pointing at. :)
 
name 3 or 4 channels you get or if you have frequencies only 2 needed

I used to have the old analogue sytem....rtl, eurosport etc. And my new systems dish seems to be pointing in a very similar direction...guessing prob more south than your 28E. Im guessing i should be looking for Astra 2a,b ?
Are these the same sat? or close?
What sat do you think i am getting?
 
br-alpha, 3 sat,tier tv,arte,vox,eurosport "not english" mdr sachsen........is that enough?

19.2e stand behind the dish and move it to the left if its 28.2 u want

Hello again all. Just been out and tweaked it to the left and found it straight away (don't know why i bothered tho?) will prob go back to my original one.

Thanks again guys, would never have found it so easy without all your help.

One last ask? what sat can i get eurosport on? The English version.

promise not to bother you all anymore?
