Guys ,wondering if you could give me a bit of direction.
I have purchased an out of contract Grundig receiver to enable me to watch FTA channels.
I have also purchased a zone one 43cm triax dish with a universal LNB.
Basically I have been experimenting, without fixing the dish to the wall but positioning it on a chair in the garden at the same angle as next doors dish.
No matter what angle I position the dish to a few degeress either way all it says on the television screen while I am in signal test mode is as follows- SIGNAL STRENTH is fine ,while SIGNAL QUALITY is non existant.
Can anyone shed any light to what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance!

Fix it to sturdy surface, align it correctly with the calculations given in

http://www.satsig.net/ssazelm.htm

you have to put in the degrees of the satellite you are trying to receive, (Satellite Orbit) and for your own site longitude and latitude, go into multimap and type in your postcode and it will give it to you!

Also use a signal meter for fine tweaking and you should be fine!
