just get a Dm 500S

i never used this box, and looking for instruction and tutorial on it...

how to start ,

the bests firmwares and sofwares to get a good quality off sharing .

If you have just got it and its brand new then its almost certainly a clone and not a genuine Dream Multimedia product as 500s models have stopped being manufactured. In which case do not put Gemini images on it. It will die!

Nabilo and PLi are good images with plenty of downloadable content from their servers direct to your box.

Charles you can use for sure UNTIL the Gemini 4.20 image with no any problems, for clones, ok?! Also u can apply the the CCcam 2.0.9, it will works well.

how can i know if its really a clone or not?

today almost all boxes are made in china
is there a different loader for clone and original box?

Same bootloader but the mac adress differs.

Don´t upgrade the Gemini if You are not sure, the older version works very good so no need ,really, to upgrade.

but i did'nt really understand how to connect it to my network and with witch

utility

ps: im looking for a ready channels list on astra, hotbird and amos

For a channel list google PET123 (it's on a Humax website).

You still need to find and store the satellite positions if you go motorised as gotoxx doesn't work on a 500.

It's in the Idiot's Guide: communication setup. You need a CAT5 cable if you use a router.
