hi

ive got a problem with my dm800.
the problem is when im on 28.2 astra and i select a sky channel i get a blockey picture that is unwatchable, all the settings are ok (i think) and all the free to air channels are fine.
i dont know if there is a problem with the dish or lnb as its motorized but is moving to all satalites ok.
now if i plug my sky fixrd dish into my dreambox on 28.2 everything works fine great picture and sound on nornal and hd channels.

what am i doing wrong.

phil..

I would suggest that your dish is not quite on the arc correctly, there are a number of ways it can be off. However what happens when you put your motorised dish to 28.2 /5 and then connect a sky box?

That is the only logical conclusion that could be drawn. The dish is out of alignment or lnb skewed when it should not be. There should be no lnb skew on a satellite at 1 deg West. If the dish is at a height that is easily accessible then get someone to flex the dish whilst you watch a bad channel and see what makes an improved picture. Flexing the East side the West side the top or the bottom this will give you some idea of the adjustments required. Alternatively get the installer back to sort it.
