In Brittany, using a large zone 2 sky dish. My sat meter has locked on as you can see but humax box and sky box says no signal. What am I doing wrong? rps20180802_134845.webp

Ten gets one your dish is actually pointing to 19.2E or 23.5E, which share many similar TP parameters with 28.2E.

Shove the dish a bit further East (and down a tad) to the next strong signal and check again.

Repeat if necessary.

10714H22000 is indeed also on 19E.
Not a very discriminating choice of transponder for a satellite finder/meter.

So do as Lazarus wrote!

Thanks guys, still no joy, think there's a dirty great big tree about 30 feet away in line of site. Not happy, no test match cricket!!

Try using dishpointer.com.
Type in your postcode, or local town, select 28.2E, Astra 2, from the drop down satellite box, then zoom in on the map, moving the green icon, to your house, and roughly where you have your dish sited, then check which way it is pointing, and use the show obstacle option to see if the tree is high enough to interfere with your line of sight.

If possible, try a temporary install somewhere clear of the tree :O) save the cricket. See attachment, testing placement to get 28e reception in between trees in south france, kept it for some time and worked fine (later got a little larger\better dish properly installed at the chosen location).

I want to thank you all so much. Positioned dish other side of caravan, small gap between trees, used website as suggested, positioned using compass, and bingo received signal even on small sky dish. Now son is happily watching the Test cricket, calm is restored.

Shame about the Score, though!
