help required for Lithuanian TV

hi - i have a customer that requires lithuanian TV and has told me that it is a viasat card he has - can anyone confirm the satelite that this is sent from - i think it is Sirius 4.8 but not completely sure - also i need to find out what decoder with cam to purchase for them - any advice or help on this is appreciated
 
LTV World is FTA on 5east The rest are a card paired to box only available from the providers as far as I know. Hope that helps a bit.

Beware many of the Baltic chanels are on the weak Nordic beam of Sirius 4.

They are scrambled in NDS Videoguard and require the Viasat receiver.
 
That depends where the punter lives - the Nordic beam is not favourable for much of the UK.

For guaranteed reception in much of the UK probably a 1.2m dish though - I can *just* get the Nordics on an 80cm dish when its a fine day. The merest hint of rain or even thick cloud and they disappear (didnt see much of them last year!)
 
Not checked on the meter but Tp 11.843h Nordic ok on a Gibertini 104cm at this time - 84% on a Technomate receiver, not far from Oxford.

To play safe a 120cm would be recommended as mentioned :)

For the Nordic Sirius beam I get a pretty good signal (65-68%) on my WaveFrontier 90 dish here in Cambridge, sometimes in the morning the signal drops a bit and I'm unable to watch/record. The main thing that made a difference for me was adjusting the LNB skew, after I had the horizontal position optimal. It gained me another 3-4% signal strength messing with that in great detail.
 
The further East you are, the better the reception on the Nordic beam, but it drops off considerably the further West you go.

I am in dublin and i have a triax 1.1m with a .2db lnb and i manage to recieve most of the verticals with around 43% quality,but it fades almost completely in the late evening or any sign of rain.
