If you make sure that the map is turned to North, then straight down will be 1W.

do i need to adjust the dish elevation as its on about 23 degrees as i cant do a proper setup as my dish is about 3-4 inches away from the wall

as i bought a L shaped mount but it seems its not long enough

Well done wod, yes the digisat pro is a nice little meter. :)

Don't know about the correct arc, as you can't move to all of it from the sound of your previous post, but if it gets what you want to watch, then that is good enough. :)

if you got bbc world when using usals hopefully every other sat should be in place as long as your long & lat is right.

you should had put the long & lat in first saved it then tell usals to go to thor.
then adjusted you dish manually outside to get the best signal, making sure also the latitude on the motor markings is right too.
if you put a different lat and long in after setting the dish up outside your dish will be out of alignment

What sort of sat beeper were you using? Was is a one with a needle display and a knob? If so, I have one (and Lidl's LED version) and it's brilliant at finding satellite signals, as long as you use it correctly!!! :p

If it was just a cheepy beepy thing then sling it... :D

What I do with my meter is when the beep is constant, I turn the knob till it's silent, then start waving the dish about until I get a beep, then fine-tuning the position is done by gradually decreasing the sensetivity of the meter until the dish is in a place where any movement up or down, left or right, would silence the meter, and then I got to my receiver and already the signal's at it's best, and with a skew of the LNB, it's all done, 10 minutes work... :D :p

Of course, I've never used it on a motorised setup... :-ohmy
