Just looked at the SMW calc and it would appear that the Skew on the LNb should be around 45 degrees.

I am getting some V channels, the only pattern I can see it that what he had before, he now dosn't and he now has what he never had before and ther are still som transponders that i have never seen working.

Well there are two satellites up there in that position and I'm wondering whether one is slightly declined in orbit, so that you can either get one or the other.

In which case you may need to move a bit to find the others.

Do the transponders you can get seem to be in the higher range?

just looking at the channel list on the box and the one on the link you gave me. It seems to have found a blocked sky news ans fox from some where. I don't see them on the internet list.

Only satellite that puts down Fox News in the clear and Scrambled Sky News is Hotbird 13 East which can be received in Cairo.

To prove this put in frequency of 11766V 2/3 27500) - If you get Italina then you are on the wrong satellite

You are a long way East of Nilesat (24 degrees or so)

I can't get that info from the box. It's a very cheep one.

Have you tried the transponder that CH mentions above 11766V 2/3 27500 to see if you've got hotbird in error?

I think I'm just going to have a big tweak and see what happens. Could the LNB gone on the blink or somthing?

Nothing coming from that transponder. I think it might be off the bird a bit. I'll try and give the dish a bit of a look around.

Probably because that transponder is wide beam as opposed to super wide (which Fox and Sky News are on )

No problems

Its almost certain that you are on Hotbird but another Super wide beam would be Multivision on 10911V 27500 3/4

Try that to prove its really not Nilesat then go for a Major Tweak

If the above are what you are getting on that transponder, then they are listed as being on 11.881H on Nilesat. It is still listed as such so I would guess that they haven't changed it.

Can you check what frequencies are listed for your LNB, it may be set incorrectly and thus distorting the transponder search.

Sorry , havent had a chance to check real time as I got in late

12.034 is part of the Nilesat frequencies (ADD TV) and yes Sky News and Fox are on there but both should be scrambled in Irdeto 2. There may be a chance that they are testing and presently have the channel in the clear but not for long.

Satco DX however claim these are on 11.881 as Rolf suggests

Are you sure there is no card in the machine ?

So you are on the right satellite.

The only BBC programme I can see is BBC World India on 11766. I cannot confirm whether there used to be others, but this satellite is undergoing a number of changes of frequencies and channel allocations. It would be worth downloading both Lyngsat and SatcoDX information and doing a number of manual scans

I know, I could of spent all this time at the pub. I don't know if the list I have is up to date but I got Sky,star,cnbc, fox and more on 12034 H. Can't see that on the nile list. Got all the education stuff on 11747 v as listed but also on 11996v I got Nile news and family and what knot, the list said thay should be on 11843h.

Sounds like they've been moving stuff around, so are all of the transponders you can receive above 11.700ish.
