Help setting up motor properly

My Satellite Setup
VU+ Duo with ViX and OSCAM, Prof Revolution 7301 PCI Card, 2x Dreambox 500S, 80cm Technomate Dish with Inverto Black Ultra and TM-2600 DiSEqC Motor. Technomate TM-300D along with a few zone 1 minidishes that get moved regularly and a zone 2 for 19e a

I was too lazy to set up my motor properly at first so just aligned it to Astra 3 and then motored it to Astra 2, Astra 1, Eurobird 16A and Hotbird. Now my exams are over, I want to set it up properly with USALS but GAAPS is saying the correct angle for Astra 2 when the dish is facing south is -32.1 which is 32 degress west isn't it? My Lat and Long is 55.1206,-1.5228.

No, the GAAPS is correct at -32°. The - is an indication of one direction of motor travel, + is the other. Set the dish up with USALs method. Follow the procedure in the motor set up guides.

Based on your system details, you need to set the motor inclination to 55.3° Lat or El 35°. Your dish El should be around 22° although most dish elevation markings are inaccurate so slightly up facing. Send the motor to reference, insert details and drive to 1w and align.
 
So - is east or am I getting the wrong end of the stick here?

Got it working! :D Thanks a lot, picking up loads of birds now and have even set DVBViewer to move the motor automatically. Much better than the old setup. Finally found Thor then after a few tweaks motored it to 28e and it worked straight away! :D I then moved it to all of the other strong ones and they all worked fine. Thanks for the help mate, much appreciated :)
