help starting to re load new firmware etc

hi, im relatively new to the dreambox.......... looking to load a gemini 2.7 image on my 7000s, i cant get the box to communicate anymore, i have poss corrupt something so my intentions are to start all over again (mainly as a learning curve as i need to get familular with this box ) can anyone please advise if i first of all load the 1.08 firmware from here

using dreamup via a null cable connected to my laptop
i prev had ver 1.07. will ver 1.08 be ok with the gemini 2.7 image
hope all reads ok as im pretty new to all this

load the erase file with dream up then just re flash with gemini 2.8
