jaeger h-h mount SG-107 with positioner
My Location
Turkey
Hi.
I have a Sg 107 H-H mount that requires a 4 cable instalation. (not a diseqc).
But they didn't give me a guide for connecting it to my positioner.
Both brands are jaeger by the way.
The positioner has M1, M2, SEN and GND outputs.
The mount has 4 places to connect but I dont know what to connect where
Anyone with any knowledge pls help me.
I am going to use them with a digital receiver. (have one which has only one fixed dish).
Thanx in advance :-worship

The obvious question, what terminal markings does the positioner have?

The m1 and m2 are to power the motor (36v), the sens wire is the o/p from the reed switch.

The positioner has the markings:
Motor Motor (one blank) Sensor Sensor
I think the ground should go to blank or one of the sensor's but I'm not sure :(
I also don't know if the polarity of them mathers...

The polarity does matter.

If the motor terminals are the wrong way round the motor will turn the wrong way (Obvious if it's wrong:))

I have never used a postioner but would imagine that the black (sensor -) goes to gnd and the red (sensor+)goes to sense.

Important though that you do not connect the the 36v motor power to the sensor terminals.

Connect the sensor to SENSOR/SENSOR. It doesn't matter which way round as it is just a switch that opens and closes. And as Satelliteman say don't connect the 36v to the sensor, or it will blow quicker than a fuse.

I just connected the m1 to the first motor and m2 to the second motor , then I connected sen to first sensor and GND to second sensor. It worked :)
But still not sure about the GND connection (is it grounding the sensor???)

I don't know why there is an additional terminal, but connect it the way I said, which is how it is at the minute and working.
