Hello everyone i have a laptop and i want to buy skystar2 can you tell me what dose excatly skystar2 do can anyone tell me what dose skystar2 i have progdvb in my laptop do i have to buy skystar2 for it i dont really get what dose skystar2 do please i heard if i buy skystar2 and its work with progdvb i can watch alots of sattalite channels like aljazeera sport 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 so can someone tell me what dose excatly the skysar 2 do is there any skystar2 to buy for laotop i can see only for pc

Yes, there is a USB version here -

As you have ProgDVB, you will know it's a TV channel viewing application software. The Skystar is the necessary tuner hardware to receive those channels from your satellite dish.

I don't believe there's a Common Interface module available with that USB device to use a smart card to receive the encrypted Aljazeera channels. May be wrong though.

hello again Llew so if i buy the skystar 2 usb hd one do i get all the sat for free like hotbird and badr4 in the skystar2 with progdvb is it like that and watch the channels

I think you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick, this will not let you watch securely encrypted channels for free

You are in Australia - you cant watch the European satellites, so why are you getting excited about the Hotbird & Badr satellites??
