is it possible to get these 2 satellites off one dish

and no MOTOR please, cant use one

Possibly, although you would need an offset lnb installing, or maybe a second dish.

my dish is like this one

do i need new dish for hotbird , or could be possible with this one that i have ??

hi again

I ended up setting a new dish 80cm, since it was so cheap
everything installed , dish aligned
now receiving hotbird with great quality, about 75%

but im only gettin 490 channles, is this what hotbird gives ??
or there is something wrong ?

thanks

Dish size most probably too small for location [42dBW].

According to dishpointer, Hotbird 6 & 9 are outside footprint or unknown; not sure how accurate that is.

Not very - Hotbird 6 can be received in India (with biggish dishes) and Hotties 8 & 9 are identical.

That would be about right for Hotbird 6.

Yes thought that would be the case re; dish pointer.

i tried to align the 1.2m dish at hotbird 13e , still getting the same 490 channels, so i dont think its a problem of the dish size

if thats right for hotbird 6 , then what about hotbird 8 and 9 ??

the three of them are at 13e , thats what i know !!

how do many people say they get more than 900 channels when pointed at 13e ??

Im talkin FTA

In which case - LNb type, LNb receiver settings?

Three satellites - three different transmission coverage areas. In Israel Hottie 6 is by far the strongest. If you want the others then you may have to invest in a bigger dish.

the LBN is a universal one, not branded , its what they sell here in all the shops
UNIVERSAL is the sticker on it

setting in receiver is , SAT: hotbird ,,
LNB power : on
FREQUENCY : 9750/10600
22khz : Auto (its grayed, cant do nothin with it)
DISECQ : 1.0 @ 2 (my hotbird connected to the lnb2 on the switch)

Analoguesat, as i said i tried the bigger one 1.2m . got the same results

actuallt here most of the time they use 60cm or 80cm dishes , in my area im the one with the biggest dish on the roof

So put a bigger dish up - 1.8m should give you more channels :D

The other possibility is that the dish isnt set up accurately - bigger dishes need more careful setting up.
