Hi all,
Am helping a friend install a flat sat dish and would appreciate some help with the following:
-location: Berlin Germany
-satellite: Thor/Intelsat 0.8°W
-dish: Selfsat H30 (or equivalent)
My specific question:
What is the approximate angle to the sky required to receive this satellite? If we define the dish in a perpendicular position as 0°, how many degrees would the dish need to be tilted upward to receive the signal from Thor?
The reason I'm asking is that there is a relatively tall tree located about 80-100 feet from the house, and would like to figure out beforehand, whether or not the signal would clear the tip of the tree.
Thanks in advance for your help.
