Help with error message

I am a complete newbe, please help.

I have a matrix reloaded cam, with a blue titanium card. I have a technomat tm-5500 CI reciever. I have managed to download some hex files onto it and put it into my reciever which says "your card is not valid for this conditional access system".

What do I do?
Also can you please help about where I can download these files?
And what chanel's can be unlocked?

PLEASE HELP
 
Firstly Nordy, we need to know which version of MR software you are using, and which files you have tried on the Titanium card.
 
So your MR has version 1.080 on it, which Titanium file are you using?
 
Go to Toecutters, Satdudez, Dean's Place as listed in the forums list in Nobbly's Big links list, or one of several file sites listed in the general list.
 
ok so i can put some files on to the titanium card, then what, just put it into my matrix reloaded card? And then into my reciever? I will still get the error message which i have written at the top of this page.
 
"When you buy a MR from the Den, it's ready to use.
Before putting it in a Common Interface slot (CI-slot), switch your receiver
to a Free to air (FTA) channel and shut it off.
Put your MR in the slot and switch on the receiver.
NOTE: no card must be in!

Go to the menu "Common Interface" or "CI" of your receiver (read the guide from your
receiver if you don't know where it is!)
The menu will show you the MR with the current "bin" like MR1.09 for
example."


I have read this and when i got to the "CI" it is not available, it is in faint letters and cannot be accesed, can you help?
 
I can go to ci, however when downloading it says "downloading serial" i dont have serial so why is it doing that, then it says some error message about how i unpluged a cable during download, please help!!!!!
 
Nordy, I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do.
 
I have put some files onto my titanium card, now i want to put that into my reciever. I thought once that is done i need to download them to my reciever no? can you tell me where there is a step by step guide telling me exactly what do to, I am very confused.....?
 
No, the titanium card once loaded with the relevant files should just be used in the CAM, what file are you putting on the Titanium?
 
i am putting files with .hex on them and then going to my recievr with the titanium card in my matrix cam, and going to CI and trying to download them onto my reciever, is that what you are mean to do?
 
No it isn't.

Your first problem would appear to get the cam to be recognised in the receiver, but by trying to load files from the Titanium into the CAM, you may have mucked it up.

The Titanium card is purely a viewing card.
 
so what can i do now, when you say a viewing card, what files should go on the titanium card, if i have mucked it up do i need to buy a new matrix card or what can i do.
 
Firstly have a look on the sites I mentioned above for Titanium files, these are the ones you use.

For the CAM, if you put it in the bottom slot of your Technomate on a FTA channel, can you see what the CAM is in the CA menu.?
