help with flat panal antennas

Hi every one i'm a neewbie here so sorry if this sounds dumb.

i live in a flat with a comunal dish for astra however i want to pick up turk sat but due to a wall i have a limited veiwing window for 42 east.

using a OAS flat 440 (square) i can easily get turksat but i have some overhang on the balcony which is not allowed.

i want to know has anyone tried the rectangle type ie squish, neo vh200, selfsat hd10 at a 90 degree angle.

i wondered if i did rotate one of these and did a blind scan not using presets.
1) would it work
2) will it think that the vertical is now horizontal and vice versa.

If anyone is willing can someone try it out on any satellites and let me know asap i need to order one as soon as poss.

i understand that after rotating by 90 degrees i would then have to add on the skew.

Well I have no experience of this type of antenna however thinking logically and relating it to experiences with rotating an lnb in its housing i.e. altering the skew too much, I would expect as you say that the horizontals would switch places with the verticals but that switch would be transparent to the end user, the phase locked loop of the stb would still pull in the nearest active frequencies and would sort out the V and H exchange of places.

You do not really need to know, by definition it is

A phase-locked loop (PLL) is an electronic circuit that controls an oscillator so that it maintains a constant phase angle relative to a reference signal. Phase-locked loops are widely used in space communications for coherent carrier tracking and threshold extension, bit synchronization, and symbol synchronization.

It is a piece of electronic circuitry that fine tunes the reception capabilities of the receiver at the bandwidth it is set for. The old analogue receivers were excellent at pulling in frequencies that were a lot different to what was being searched for
