Hello everyone , if ya dont mind i`l start with a short story and then i`l ask for advice if thats ok
a week ago all was well in the world , sky , the internet and computers were fine , we went out for half an hour and on return our router was dieing slowly , 1 computer had passed away the wifes Pc had rebooted for no reason and we had no Sky TV upstairs ??? its been a stressful and expensive time trying to find and repair what needed finding and repairing
we replaced the router and without boring you to tears here , finaly sorted our network out due to the nature of D-links it was a tad trying
the computer is stil dead , my diagnosis , power supply problems but tbh thats a guess , i`m not overly fussed as it was a spare but it is annoying
onto my Sky upstairs , after much scrabbling and unplugging and following cables and testing it appears that 3 things failed all at once
my plug in amp that is located in a side attic , my Global communications 2 way DA which i was using to by pass the amp AND the magic eye itself
its the wierdest thing we have ever seen and something i will never get to the bottom of i`m sure
so i`m looking to replace the amp and 2 way DA with a T140 , i have no experience with the T140 and was looking for suggestions of better if necessary
we only control sky from 1 extra room upstairs so i`m assuming the T140 is more than enough
on a side note , i read in another thread that the 9v sent back down the line can interfere with Technomates ??? what sort of interfere ...is it known at all , tbh i have never seen any probs with my previous setup but your never to old to learn something new
sorry for the long haul post , just thought it might make an interesting read and odviously some advice on the T140 would be much appreciated
