Hello all, I have recently bought a topfield TF 6000PVR WS (with Wifi) and I am trying to get it to work with NTV Plus in Kazakhstan. It will receive the unecoded channels, no probs, but is not interested enough to decode the encoded channels.
Is there some way to solve this "unencoding" problem???????

Also, it seems to me that a CAM with a card in it should not be as hot as this one, I mean about 90 degrees hot, is this normal for a cam ???????????

Wishing a happy ending to my sad story of a new receiver.

By the way the card is legit, the CAM is the proper job, viaccess thingy, and the dish and LNB are working fine.

the card works fine with an old receiver, but not the TF6000PVR WS, at this point I break down in tears, pools of water around feet, red rings around eyes etc etc

Please anyone, HELP !!!!!!!!!!

Andy and desperate. (maybe not so 'andy)

Sorry,

I forgot to say hello to everyone, as this was my first and most desperate post. Would appreciate any input which sheds light on the subject.

Wishing it all comes good

Cheers
Andy

Welcome to the forum kazman

It is unfortunate to hear your plight, I assume you have checked the basics e.g. the card is inserted the correct way!

It is a known fact that not all cams work in all receivers many are just not compatible, have you checked the Topfield website for compatibility?

Well if your guestimate of 90degrees is correct then the unit/card will fail very quickly if it has not already

edit

what version of Viaccess are you using as you need V2.6 or V3.0?

Thanks for your input Topper,
I have checked the "this way up" situation, result - correct ! Maybe 90 degrees is a bit over the top, just a guesstimate, but it certainly gets hot, as does the whole box really.
I really don't know which version of viaccess I have, how would I check that???
Cheers
Andy
