Well, my attempt to calm the minds and invoke a feeling of well being to the entire forum failed miserably. So much for transcendental meditation!

(You need that striking of the vocal chord to keep in humming distance of the Yogi, don't you? Else we're left with that semi-disapproving "hmm" that is so prevalent in Western Culture....)

...but with all due respect to far-eastern philosophical belief-inclinations, I would like to reduce hum in general.
Happy-induction at 50 Hz is not what I want to dissipate energy through my cables.
So I general tend to ground the b*st*rd, and keep earth-potential the same throughout the chain...
