Hospital tv encryption

Visiting a Manchester hospital recently, I have noticed they are now operating
a pay tv system, using a unit which is a combined telephone / LCD TV, which has a slot for either phone or tv cards.
Just out of interest, does anybody know what encryption this system uses?

Our local hospital uses it - It used to use ONdigital so I suppose it's now Freeview

Cheers Llew, but it's not free, as a tv card for one week costs £20,
It seems to have a basic sky package, bravo, uk gold, cartoon network, toonami, etc.
