Last time I was in hospital they still only had the one channel on VHF, I guess things have changed since then :) I'm not familiar with the TVs you describe BRD, are you saying that they are slot meter ones?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Last (only) time I was in hospital undergoing plumbing rerouting, the drugs I was on made almost any programme interesting.

Managed to discharge myself in under a week against doctors advice and ripped a few stitches on the way home.

Depressing places to be in (I always been tempted to return in costume as the Grim Reaper, dangling chains and wailing, just to see how many beds I could clear)

it was my good lady who spent a week in there after the birth of sprog number three the other week.
there`s a nationwide installation program underway that gives every hospital bed its own personal tv with telephone and internet connection but you have to pay through the nose.
The phone is 10p per minute (min charge 20p), the internet wasn`t up and running so can`t comment on that but the tv was 80p per half hour but after 2 hours you get the rest of the day for free. ie £3.20 for one day. The only channels you get for that are the free to air channels that were on itv squidgytal. in fact i presume the whole thing was set up as a joint venture with itv because their logo is plastered all over the equipment.
cards are purchased from a vending machine in amounts of £3.50, £5 and £10 credit. I kept half a dozen cards if anyone wants me to send one to them.
