Hi,

At the start of last year, I bought a clone DM800. It was - and still is - working fine. I have recently replaced the L3 rev tuner with the newer M rev tuner and all is hunky dory.

However, the box is mighty hot! My girlfriend complained of the noise that the internal fan made so I removed it around 2 months into ownership. However, I now wish to cool it somehow before it blows up. Can anyone recommend a good, quiet fan? eBay is littered with "brush-less, super quiet" fans, but I've no idea if they are actually any good or long lasting. There are also some cooling trays which look funky, but a little too funky for me. Any experiences with these?

Both solutions that you have mentioned work nicely.

You have another option of using the internal USB to get 5 Volts for mini CPU fan.
This is amost noise free.
 
captainjack, if you have a poundland near you, they have a usb laptop cooler for £1, that's what i use on mine and they work fine and are quiet.
