hotbird and astra 1 no signal at night???????

I am finding that i can get both satellites fine during the day but at night nothing - signal on meter dropped to below 40%. set up is 1m dish monoblock lnb in southern spain. may or may not be of interest but my uk set up on different size dish is also experiencing signal fall although still getting channels 24 hours. Weather has been getting quite hot recently. any help or advice very much appreciated.

Try changing the setup for 2 separate LNBs and check dish alignment. The current LNB may be failing anyway or dish/LNB not optimised. Monoblocks are meant for 80cm dishes.

Just a thought. One of my customers had a similar problem (in Barnes, Surrey). Turned out their covert satellite dish was being blocked each evening by the neighbour putting out the washing on the balcony next door.
