Hey guys,

I want to get a sat dish, as I m Moroccan and I miss all the channels etc, done my little research in the Liverpool area, the only deals thatl I could get were £499 for a 80cm motorised dish, which is really expensive, or a hotbird fixed dish for £180 (£120 without the receiver as i want to get a dreambox and the guy said they dont do them)
I am after Arabic channels, movies and the Spanish league mainly.
So is the hotbird the right one for me? and is that the average price for the motorised dishes?

Thank you

Oh dear ............. sounds like you need a couple more quotes.

Pretty sure there are a few North West based Installers on this Forum, so how about bunging an Installer Wanted Thread up in the appropriate section?

Motorised would be the best route based on your requirements. Astra1 serves a fair bit of Spanish programming as does Hotbird for Arabic. System would give you the flexibility of viewing other satellites. Of course an 80cm monobloc setup for 19e/13e would also cater for your needs.

£499 a bit on the pricey side for an 80cm motorised system, if you are getting your own receiver. Spanish also on Hispasat 30W

Cheers Robbo, I found another deal, £350 including the whole motorised sat kit with a technomate receiver and installation, and i think that once i got a bit familiar with all this sat thing, i ll buy a dreambox.
