hotbird weak signal????????RTP INTERNACIONAL

hi everyone:), really need some help.

i have just installed an old 1 metre dish which is in excellent condition with a mti quad lnb. i want to receive RTP internacional on hotbird but the signal quality will not go above 82 percent. i have tried everything from alighning the dish better to installing dish in different position, nothing has changed. their are no obstructions in front of dish to affect signal quality either. at the moment i am at 82 percent and to
receive rtp internacional i have been told i need around 86 percent.
is there an lnb that i can use that will improve signal quality like invacom for example. maybe the hotbird signal is weak were i live:confused: i don't know please help.:)
 
Good grief, 1m is extreme overkill for Hotbird - you would get it fine on a zone 1 Sky minidish!!

Unless theres something wrong with your equipment 82% should be fine - the strength meters on receivers are indicative only - the values would be different if you connected a different receiver to the dish.

Theres a possibility you are putting far too much signal into the tuner and overloading it.
 
I am using technomate 1000d receiver IT FINDS MOST CHANNELS BUT THE RTP
INTERNACIONAL CHANNEL WILL NOT SHOW AND WILL SHOW ME A MESSAGE SAYING NO AUDIO OR VIDEO.
I LIVE IN NORTH WEST LONDON
 
The signal is still there - I had a look a few minutes ago.
