How can I edit/upload keys to TM1500?

Hi,

I have a Technomate TM1500, I uploaded the latest software/firmware using a null modem cable and TM software loader.

I do not have any card/smart cards etc.

However, how can I upload/edit keys that I have downloaded? Is it the same way as uploading as above,? Do I have to do any configeration and how?

If you have successfully patched your receiver, using the latest patch, not the official technomate firmware, then you can update the keys using your receivers remote control.
First is the patch turned on? Press Menu, System Information then enter 2004 on the remote. If the patch was on you should see Cas and Biss options.
Which keys are you trying to update, and which satellites are you able to receive?

Sounds like I'm using the wrong software.

I Have the manufactures update from technomate website, I use the TM 1000 Loader to upload and transfer the software updates.


ok, so I now have downloaded the 'Darkman TMLoaderP' and the latest Patch with keys (I think) ..... 'Darkman_Patch_TM1500CI+_TM1000CI_130707.zip ' posted 13th July 07.

So where do I go from here?

I think the Technomate patch can open the following packages, Premiere on Astra 1, 19.2E, D+, on 19.2E, TPS, on Hotbird 13E, which is AU, Auto Updates, just leave your receiver on France 4, M6 Music or other channel on 10873 V 27500, for a few minutes and TPS should open.
You should also be able to get Cabo, 30W.
To update the keys for D+, just enter the menu and look for OhlAladin, Digital+ 4001, or 4101, and insert the new key.
Just found this quick guide:
d+ key entry
Press mute then exit when you are on a D+ channel
It should show you
Nagravision
Digital+(4001) OhlAladin
Ident
10 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
11 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
add keys , exit and save
reboot the box
The Technomate uses lines 10 + 11 for key 00 and 20 + 21 for key 01, you just change the key line from 00 to the relevant key line.
Once you've carried this out a couple of times you will soon get used to it.

I'm just starting out here, so I think I'm missing a few steps.

Do I just load my Darkman patch via the loader software,
the patch is an STB file, and that all to it?

What is D+, TPS? Are these channels or encryption codes?

You require the loader, and patch, from the site you mentioned, ensure you get the correct version for your receiver, you have the 1000 series.
D+, TPS, Premiere and Cabo are all packages, each containing a wide variety of different channels.
If you go to lyngsat.com and click on the packages link, for the relevant satellite:
D+ and Premiere 19.2E Europe
TPS 13E Europe
Cabo and D+ 30W Atlantic
You will get all the channel information you require.
 
Ok i have uploaded the patch, I can see the cas and bis options on the key menu.

Now I have figure out how and what to input, so may diffrent encryption options?

If I could have a few test examples to give me a start?

Hi,

OK my tm1500 reciver is patched,howver:

I cant find Tps on hotbird 13e?
Or premier on Astra1 19.2e nd D+?

I tried re-scanning channels all I get is the basic FTA channels?

I did look at lyngsat but my reciever would not pick these up?

Is your receiver set to only scan for FTA channels?
It might be best to try a blind scan, but this will download a lot of channels, or manually scan for the selected channels.
Check your manual for tips on scanning.
 
ok I have everything working.

But I cant see sportitalia? its scrambled. Can my patch open this?
Also the Scfi Channel won't open on Hotbird?

From what I've read, Sport italia have upgraded their encryption and is no longer available, but I haven't checked this personally.
The Sci Fi channel, I watch, is part of the D+ package on Astra 1 19.2E, which one are you viewing on Hotbird?
 
OppsScifi was on hippasaat and Astra1, on Astra it was seca and viaccess but my patch woulf not open it.Is there somthing on the K... menu i have to enter?

Is the Scifi Channel in English?

There are 2 Sci Fi channels opening on Astra 1, 19.2E, one in the premiere package, without an English soundtrack and one in Digital + package with an English soundtrack.
Sci Fi Digital + 19.2E, 10818 V 22000
Sci Fi Digital + 30W, 12226 V 27500
Providing you have D+ latest keys both these channels should open.
 
If that's a post in Nagravision, it just means the keys are about to change.
No doubt the providers will stop us viewing soon, especially with the football starting soon, but for the moment just imput the latest keys.
 
Having trouble with english version of Scifi on Hipaasat 30w which is Nagravission which I assume is D+

got latest info for d+, problem entering in menu on tm?

K..menu shows boxes of sec,nagra etc, so I select nagra.
under this is a menu say CAS

under this is another showing IDENT with a list of lines showing 00 under this.

Along the side of this is a series of lines showing varoius digits or zeros etc.

Not shure which bits to enter were?

I tried to make various attempts but but cant get it working.
 
Echelons guide for adding D+ keys, this is for updating key 00 for key 01 you need to enter lines 20 & 21:
d+ key entry
Press mute then exit when you are on a D+ channel
It will show you
Nagravision
Digital+(4001) Ohaladin

Indent
10 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
11 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **

add keys , exit and save

reboot the box

or

Press mute then exit when you are on a D+ channel
Once you are on the blank cas page, change from "OFF" to "NAGRA".
Go to the next line and put in the ident "40 01".
On the next line input "10" and use the down key to move to the key position and use numbers 1-9 and "info" button for the letters to enter the new key.
Press down again to go to the next line, enter "11", down again for the key input and enter it.
Once complete press "exit" button, save changes.
Exit to blank screen. Change channel and back again, wait a couple of seconds

type 8280 on the channel to get the biss menu ,then move the bar up and down and select the row you want , the top row is off
now exit and save

In order to input D+ keys manually even after loading DM's latest patch, you will need to also load the Kempa softcam. It corrects a bug with the DM patch affecting Line 58 in the Cass menu (Line 58 is D+ Nagra). It should be available in the same place that you found the DM patch.
 
Well I get scifi on 19.e and 30w but its not in English this after loading DM patch for D+?
 
Have you altered the language settings from Spanish to User?
Currently the Tremors film is on with an English soundtrack.
