Hello. I'd like to hear reports from members, that have updated their dish say from 120cm to 180cm ones, and how it helped in fringe reception/weak transponders. Regarding upgrades in range 60>90>120 I know them all, so no point of interest now.

I'll share below my experience when comparing 120cm offset and 150cm prime focus dishes:

On astra 1M, 120cm offset dish scores about 75% in signal quality, while 150cm - 90%. Both on widebeam.

European beam is not receivable at 120cm offset at all, at 150cm primefocus I got all transponders from 1M (trough signal is weak and no stability in bad weather), and also as it seems, I'm picking two transponders from 1H also (12640 and 12692).

So it's very interesting to hear from members, who recently upgraded from 120cm or larger to more large dishes, and how it helped them in receiving weak signals.
