How do i connect 8 quattro lnb`s to 2 receivers

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anybody tell me what i need to connect 8 quattro lmb`s on 2 dishes to 2 satelite receivers ??????????

ie: i have 2 dishes each with 4 quattro lmb`s on

Now at the moment i have 1 triax TMS17x12C multiswitch model 301512

if i move from 1 dish to the other i simply swap all the feed wires

is there some way of maybe adding another multiswitch and combining all feeds into 1 multiswitch

Please help as it`s frying my brain:confused::confused::confused::confused:
 
Surely multiswitches are overkill for this.

The easiest & cheapest way I can see to do this is for each receiver - 2 sets of 4 lnb's into 4 way disecqs switched manually with an A/B switch. Instead of swapping feeds over you just clunk a switch over. A/B's are about a tenner from places like Maplin.
 
It may be possible to switch between two 17 input multiswitches with uncommitted disec 1.1 switches. Worth a try.


Though as AS says, not sure why youve used quattros and multiswitches when you are only feeding 2 receivers. That setup is designed for feeding lots of receivers (more than 8 usually). The quattro +multiswitches option would be a lot more expensive.
 
yes i know i stated that i am currently running only 2 receivers but i want to add on that side as well when i re-wired my home some 12 months ago i laid twin 75ohm cable into the walls of 6 rooms and direct to 2 rooms from the cellar ( basement ) which leaves me with 16 outputs which i then placed triplex face plates on the walls in each room so i can have recording receivers in each room so in full if i was to take my system to the max i would need something like a 33 input and 16 output multiswitch so i asked can i combine 8 lmb`s into 1 multiswitch
 
I gave a suggestion to try in my other post. Multiswitches use diseqc 1.0 to switch sats,which supports up to 4 switching positions so the next stage may be a disecqc 1.1 uncommitted switch, to switch between the two outputs. You can just try it on one pair to see if it works.
