firstly a null modem cable can only be used when uploading firmware images such as gemini.

In order to transfer other files/folders accross to the dreambox you need to connect to it via a LAN ethernet cable.

For computer/laptop to dreambox you will need a crossover cat5 or 6 cable which you can pick up for a few quid.

If you are going to connect to a router then you can use either a crossover or a straight through cat 5 or 6 ethernet cable, alternativly you can connect it wirelessly to your router with a wireless ethernet bridge when it arrives.

Until you get another cable you cannot do anything i'm afraid

It would help if you update your profile to show which box model you have.
CCcam file is relatively large and you might need to check how much memory you have left and delete some files in order to be able to install CCcam.
w/o a router you need to use an FTP application, dl the CCcam file (latest version) unzip them and then put thenm it the correct subfolders.
