How do i record? Single Feed Sky+ HD

Hello,

I have started another thread because i feel i didn't explain myself well enough in the previous thread below.

I have one feed in my flat and a Sky+ HD box.

Currently i can only record what im watching but would like to record the chosen channel at the chosen time.

I.E: if i set the box to record sky one at 8pm and i am out, do i need to leave it on sky one before i leave? This seems ludicrous to me as i have much better things to do than check every recording every time i leave the flat. Also if i set it to record something later at 10pm on another channel is this not possible?

I have heard people talking about leaving the box on standby and single feed mode in the past, how does this help if at all?

As long you have the box on standby you dont have to leave it to the channel that you will need to record, if is on, then it needs to be at the channel that u set up to record, thats in your case if you need to record sky One at 8pm and then box is on then needs to be to that channel, to record to another channel later the box needs to be standby unless you come home and change it from sky One to the channel that you will record at 10pm.

when I put the box on standby it won't record what it's set to, unless it's the same as the last channel I watched. Do u know why this is?
I have single feed mode on!

Hi kingfresh, was wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this problem, I gave recently got sky and am having the exact same trouble as you.... Please help it's driving me insane
