Help Required How do I recover my signals?

My Satellite Setup
Hotbird/7A/8 (13.0E)
Sirius2/3/4/AstralC(5.0E)
Thor2/3/Intelsat10-02 (1.0W)

Arabsat
My Location
Gothenburg (Sweden)
Hello! I've recently lost signal to Hotbird, Sirius and Arabsat and I do not know how to fix it. (I still have signal from Thor)

Hotbird/7A/8 (13.0E)
Sirius2/3/4/AstralC(5.0E)
Thor2/3/Intelsat10-02 (1.0W)


Arabsat


DiSEqC




Hotbird, Sirius/Astra and Thor is in one receiver, and Hotbird and Arabsat in an another receiver.

I do not know if whether the dish or the LNBs are out of place.

Dish alignment needs checking i would guess at. You have a mounting system of clamps and poles which is open for misalignment. Are you suspending everything on that large U mounting fastened to your building? If you are, that could well be struggling with the weight.Two dishes and poles need serious mounting brackets (T and K and maybe extra K too). Some more pics of your set up in general would be useful.

The signal were just fine until a relative decided to touch the dish and probably misalign it.

Thanks for the advice.
I moved the bucket and Astra is now working aswell. But not Hotbird and Arabsat.
 
Looks like its going to be trial and error moving that bucket. Can you see the signal you receive from your set top box or are you using a meter? If you could see the tv or meter you could try moving the bucket around and check what happens to the strength. But this is a short term fix, you need to get that lashed up more secure in my opinion.

If you look at the picture of the bucket paul you can clearly see its moved, so the pole is not going to be straight, and we all know the first thing is a straight pole.
 
I suggest putting your tv on a known good arabsat channel and move the bucket until you get a signal. At least if you gets a signal you can work from there. Move the bucket slightly each time and wait for a second or two each time, if there is no signal inch it some more.
 
If I would buy a satellite meter (SATlink WS 6906), would I be able to connect the LNB cables (Hotbird, Astra, Thor and Arabsat) to the meter and then align the dish without moving the bucket?
 
Yes, but you could get a simple signal strength meter with a needle to detect satellites and then check on your tv if you have got the right satellite and a picture.
 
The trouble with getting a satlink unit is,its likely to arrive with out of date settings,you'll need to get them updated or type them in yourself which is time consuming. I would advise against them myself.

But signal strength meters picks up every satellite and it's more difficult to configure. You have to connect your receiver too.

Satellite meters are a bit nicer due to their configuration.

Thats true....If youre going to invest in a meter, i'd still advise against the satlink, i have one,it works, it does the job for me ,occasional resetting of my dishes but i dont think i'd buy another. They've just got a bad reputation for breaking down. If you got a cheap set top box (technomate tm3000d for instance) and a portable tv, you could reset your dishes that way. This is just an idea.

Satellite meters in Sweden are generally pretty expensive. SATlink WS-6906 cost like £220 pounds in Sweden so Ebay or Amazon are my alternatives. What satellite meter do you recommend that cost circa £70 pounds?
 
Looks like youre getting a satlink for that money, else buy a simple needle meter.
