How do you call this ?

I have been wracking my brain trying to find the correct keywords in search engines, but so far no luck.
Many years ago, they used to present information on a piece of carton, usually circular but could also be rectangular. There is a fixed bottom part and a top moving part connected together at the center. The top part can slide in both directions. You choose something on the top and then you can see the relevant information printed on the bottom piece.
I just want to know how to call it exactly as I want to know how this is done.
It is the old method of search and retrieve if you like, with the bottom part containing the database and the top part the search selection menu.
A slide rule is one example.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think they are called "wheel charts"

Thanks Kabacus. This is exactly what I was looking for.:)
Any idea how to design a custom wheel chart? Is there a software to help with the design?

On the funny side, look what I found in Google when I typed wheel chart

The volvelle has moved on from a mechanical device to screen interactive.

Anyone going to the IBC in the past few years will have seen hundreds of them in use.

If you want to design your own, try and get a copy of Vispol 1.1
