Nothing as exciting as that I'm afraid Oily, just sling up the odd dish and aerial here and there. :)

I run a rather dilapidated computer network at one of the local high schools 300 computers running RM Connect 2.4 on win 98 clients. The workstations are 5, 6, & 7 years old, and are getting rather unreliable.

We are past the point of no return for repairing break downs, and I just try to hold everything together in some sort of shape until we are refurbished next summer......

Sounds like you could do with one of those cool-looking covert access poles for the van Rolf... :D

I work in Telecomms, on Siemens phone systems. Used to install satellite dishes (and a few months of hell on NTL) but i realised its nicer to be working inside all winter. Miss the summers up on chimneys though!!!!

I've yet to meet anyone who's job is wholly exciting, but I enjoy mine in the main, it was my hobby before my job.:)

Must have one of those poles though, as STICK says, would look cool on the van and I could advertise "Covert access our speciality" :-lmao

@ eddie173, know what you mean about work in the winter, probably the biggest downside, but the views can be breathtaking.:)

Depends on which area you cover i suppose! Most of the areas i worked in would take more than a covering of frost to be considered breathtaking!! Likewise it was a hobby for me and i jumped on Sky when they did the digital push in `99. And spent the next 2 years cleaning up after subbies who couldnt install a greasy stick up.....

If you supplied something like the Williams X-Jet I would be interested.

I do something similar to Rolf, though I try not to climb above a gutter, certainly avoid aerial work unless its part of the main job, even then I would prefer to get someone else in.

Been working in the commercial sector for a number of years now, which has led onto some interesting work for the satellite providers.
