How much did the diesel set you back? Having just filled up for the first time in a couple of months I'm surprised there aren't riots law abiding mass gatherings over the cost :-ohmy

Will there be a "Channel Master 1.8m Motorised Installation" topic created on the forum documenting the progress?

Would have thought AdBlue would be the responsibility of the rental company?

Is AdBlue something you have to add at every fill up? My diseasels don't use that. One I think is passive or uses urea thing and the other is too old to even have a DPF.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

AdBlue is just a brand name for the urine that goes in the cleaner tank. Madness that the car won't run if the tank is near empty.

With the old Eloys stuff on PSA cars, it had to be refilled at great expense every 5 years or so, depending on how often the tank was filled up.

when i dropped off the van this morning, they refunded me the 12 quid ADBLUE i put in. they were nice enough about it, so yes, it is the rental companys responsibility

i think i spent about £100 yesterday on filling up that gas guzzler - not bad for 500 miles i dont think.

Not every fill up, there's a separate tank that typically holds 10 litres which should last around 6000 miles.

I'm sure the system can be disabled by coding or remapping, though it would technically be an MOT fail.

i had a transit with add blue i used to top up about every 3 months (10L) local journeys, but if i towed or longer motorway journeys the time became shorter. i dont think the mileage mattered so much it was wether the engine was underload/working hard.
