How to Cardshare using this Unknown Form?

Hi all,

After a bunch of googling I stumbled upon a cardsharing server config file with 52 ports!!! Network tests have shown that the server is up and running, but I couldn't use it on my DB as I couldn't understand the details contained in the cfg file. In other words, I don't know which is the correct client application to use with this server (mgcamd, cccam or ???). I will list what is written in this file and omit the important numbers as it is illegal to post them in public.

[SERVER_00]
Name=BIG SERVER
Host=<<IP address>>
Type=0
SKey=0102030405060708091011121314
User=<<user>>
Pass=<<Password>>
Prio=1
PVer=1
Ports=53
P00_Port=<<Port No>>
P00_Emms=0
P00_Prio=0
P00_Skip=0
P00_Info=
P00_CaID=0500
P00_Prov=020710,

Any ideas please about the correct client with this server?

Cheers,

I think W*i*n*C*S*C is the protocol, Its not for Dreamboxes but Satellite PCI cards.

I wouldn't get too excited about it, these things get posted in a lot of forums in the eastern coutries of europe and beyond. They are never of any use.

Does not the skey suggest that it is newcamd

Off the top of my head I think that 'PVer=1' refers to newcamd V5.25

There may be some common settings. I've never used either one so I cant be sure, but here is a screen grab of a WIN C S C config file I downloaded.

yes the format looks the same but this line '' SKey=0102030405060708091011121314 '' - is only used for newcamd, the config layout does not matter... :)

OK,
Here come the results:

I added some lines in the newcamd.list and made two tests to know what it is going on inside the box.

The line added:
CWS = <IP_address> <port_number> <username> <Password> <DES_key> wan <server_name>.

Then I rebooted the receiver and tried to activate the mgcamd1.31_Ronald CS. Then runnning the command "netstat -a" through telnet on my receiver resulted in an "established" status message next to the IP address of the server.

I also ran the command mgcamd_1.31 through the telnet console but the output kept on rolling and rolling so I couldn't catch all messages but I remember that I didn't read any error messages from the server

However, the server was meant to open mature content channels, from its Caid number, which are not available on my receiver.

Now I have two questions:
1- Am I right running mgcamd to open a newcamd server? Sorry if this is inaccurate although I read from another forum that this is correct, but I am new to this field and have little experience.

2- Can any of you guys tell me how to freeze the rolling telnet message from mgcamd_1.31? It is very difficult to read the output while keeping rolling.

Thanks to all of you,

Pipe the MgCamd output into the 'more' command and you will see the output in screen fulls, use space bar to move on to the next screen full.

Code:
YourMgcamdCommad [B]| more[/B]

Instead of Mgcamd why not try Newcamd emu ?

@sonic1

That is a good idea too. But frankly, I am confused with the EMU list in my Gemini image. In most cases, it lists a pair of EMUs such as mgcamd_1.31 /Ronald CS or mgcamd/New CS. I have no idea what that really means: Does that mean a Ronald CS server and mgcamd client, or it simply means two of them can work simulatneously? Advise please as I am new to this field.

The second thing is that I am unsure as to whether I have to put the CWS line in the file:
/var/bin/tuxbox/conf/newcamd/newcamd.conf as well as the newcamd.list file.

Cheers,

;)With the image you use can you still download Newcamd 5.25 betad?
I have not used it for maybe 3 or 4 years but it was very good at that time.
You will also need to be able to download the cfg to go with it.
Other than that I am afraid I can not help much more.
From what I understand though you are trying to connect to a spider network which compared to other alternatives it is a poor option.
Would still be interested though if you manage to figure it out.

Hi all,

I appreciate that you have been waiting for updates since ages. But Daddy passed away three weeks ago and I still feel down for his loss and have no motivation for satellite business. I will be back with some news after I gather up strength after this shock.

Thanks to all of you,

Sorry to hear about your loss. No hurry, come back when you are ready. There are more important things in life than sat tv.
