Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but i had so many calls from my customers since yesterday that i feel it should be posted.
Those of us who live in the fringe areas and cannot receive default transponder 11.778V have to enter an alternative default transponder to be able to boot the box..
This is usually 12.207V and was done through the "installer setup" manu which was reached before by pressing services>401>select.
The new HD interface does not support the old method above so to be able to change default transponder it is necessary to press services>001>select to reach SETUP menu and enter 12.207V into the section labelled TX'PONDER.

Cheers Iceman I have made that a sticky as many people are asking about it

I got a reply to this question yesterday and the answer was......Under the Settings options, highlight picture option, then press 0, 1 select and will take you the menu that you can change the default frequency.
I haven't tried it yet so let me know if this works(thanks to Bale)

Thanks alot iceman for pointing that one out, will bookmark this thread as well.

Can I just ask about which TP to use. I have just moved the HD box from home (which was connected to the big dish) down to the other house where it is connected to an 80cm dish. I have set the default TP to 11973 V (which is the ITV transponder on 2B South). I am able to receive all the programming but the EPG has failed to populate (after over a week).

I am going to try 12.207 V as suggested by the OP, but in the meantime can anyone advise if the EPG data is only carried on certain TPs, explain how the default TP relates to the mechanism of populating the HD EPG or offer any explanation as to why all the entries on my EPG just say "No programme information available".

Thanks.

The 7 day EPG is only on 11778, and your HD EPH will populate if you can get this frequency - unlikely on your 80cm dish, but maybe you got a sniff of it on your big dish.
Changing the default frequency to another will not help in this, as far as I know. Although 11778 carries the 7 days data, all other frequencies carrry the same very limited data only, and only in small blocks - ie up tp 6am, 12pm, 6pm, 12am, and nopt the comprehensive programme data that is on 11778.
