How to install harddisk into DM800

Do I just open the dreambox 800 and put the 2.5 inch 250gb harddrive in?

Do i need to enable something in the dreambox 800 software?
Do i need to format the harddrive or something?

I have computer installing hardware experience, just wondering how this is going to work in the DM800 with linux and all and how the dm800 is going to recognize the harddrive.

PLug in the drive. Boot up the box. Initialise the drive in the Dreambox menu. Done.

one question , please.

after all these steps done ,
when I'm trying to instant recording I got the message :disk too small << 100MB ( seems that the path is not to internal HDD )
I've tried to change tha path from timeshift path.. but I can't find there the corect way .
the internal hdd is seen in device manager on /dev/hda.

hi did you get the external hdd sorted as makro have a seagate 1tb for 60 bills. do i plug in via usb then enable via dm 800 job done or did you have probs?
