How to stabilise my dish. picture attached

As my dish is mounted on ground, is it possible, that it loses its alignment as the earth around the mounting bracket changes its characteristics due to weather?

Little wind, and the 5 sirius goes away, even with a 1 m dish.
I have a council fence running within a metre. I am thinking of running a RUNNER between the dish mounting bracket, and the fence. any ideas on how to do it?

Also why my receiver shows same signal/quality strength on both astra and sirius?

So how is it mounted then?, the photograph tells us nothing to speak of

seen the dish and here is some thing i see and don't see.
you need a strong pole to hold the dish. it should be about 3 inches in diamater.
it should go 2 or 3 feet in the ground. after you dig the hold place large rocks arround the pipe and pack it down hard.
you could use cement as well quick drying would speed up the process.
now the lnb is off to the side ,move it as close to the lnb holder as possible.
anything that moves lnb arm ,reflecter,or dish needs to be tightened down.
you might consider a newer dish.
now with a solid pole and and nothing that can move and flex in a light wind remount the dish.
that should take care of your problem.

Hi,

Because it is rented property, I faced lot of problems with the landlord.

I must admit, that the job is not ROCK SOLID. It is not very deep in the ground, but certainly has lot of stones, and rocks.
Unless the pipe itself suffers from resonance, I think it is hard enough for a heavy dog to pole dance on it.

As I cannot, redo the ground, I need to consider the thought of attaching a RUNNER from the pole to the council fence(which is very strong and stable).

I could not find anything on ebay, so please help me here.

PS: Is there a satellite on 5 east also, which overlaps with 4.8 sirius?

You seem to be thinking of ways to make a botch job of it, rather than trying to get something that works and stays working. Consider a NPRM with slabs on it. It will be stable, and no groundwork needed.


Would have been interesting to actually see a proper photo, rather than a zoom-in of just the LNB arm, which provides no useful info.

If the top of the pole is relatively high (higher than the top of the dish), then securing something (a chimney lashing wire ?) between the top and the fence would give you something far more stable.
