Please dont type all in capitals - its considered TO BE SHOUTING!

Unless the PowerVu decoders are still authorised on the Scientific Atlanta databases for AFN they are useless to you.

I have AFN and belive me i know who their system works,

Even if you was in the us army yourself they will not authorize the box unless you brought it from military exchange and if you did they have a record of the serial numbers and what military exchange it was sold from in their POWERVU connect database

You need to setup a dish pointing to where the AFN channels are being transmitted.
I think Hot Bird 13E have many AFN channels, but you are probably thinking of another satellite perhaps?
If it is Hot Bird, then get a suitable dish size.

You are going to need a silly sized dish to get Hotbird 6 in Zimbabwe - officially the footprint just skims the north coast of Africa:

Ive never seen a report of Hotbird reception for Zimbabwe so any dish size will be a guess, but Id say start thinking of something around 2.5m possibly MUCH bigger!

Point your dish at 1°West (Intelsat 10-02)
AFN is on C-Band 4175R
According to Lyngsat you'll need a dish of 255 to 320 cm dia.

Not true; I got two authroized via the internet and selected (bought from an authorized member). I did not need to tell them where is was from nor if it was from AAFES or not; in fact, we can't buy them from AAFES, only rent them.
Oh; I bought both from on on-line paper and had them mailed from Europe to Asia.

Both have 3 year subscriptions.
