Spent the weekend in Hull the City of Culture 2017, have to say it was not bad at all, there seems to be an extensive program taking place throughout the summer months at least. We of course went to the Ferens Art Gallery and saw an exhibition entitled Skin by Freud Mueck and Tunick, the latter is probably well known for his blue nudes, exhibition photographed in various locations around Hull City, unfortunately cameras were not allowed so no pictures of that, you will have to make do with this but ignoring the nudity I did actually appreciate some of his photography. Mueck I have seen before, he makes the very lifelike models that are larger than life but uncannily realistic.
For those who saw the poppy exhibition around Tower of London in 2016, some of those same poppies are being exhibited in many parts of the country, the Weeping Window was in Hull.
There were a number of other 'art' galleries and they fell into my personal 'off the wall' categories
Of course 'Off the wall' was an unintended pun for the first three items, yet come to think of it could apply to the last picture as well but have to say why oh why is that art?
