humax 5400 but what next??

hi ive been a fan of my old humax 5400 for yrs but its just not upto it anymore so ive been out of the sat scene for quite a while, so am looking for a new box that can decode some of the channels we used to get or is free encrypted channels a thing of the past?
 
Very little is open on Keys these days, I'm afraid.

So that just leaves Subscriptions (which some people endeavour to Share, although broadly speaking we don't discuss the latter).

There are many clever and versatile Boxes in the current crop, but still no magic bullets.
