Congratulations - I have a 1010S and it generally think it is a good box.
It seems you have already come to the same conclusion...
In some respects it's better than my FoxSat, but part of the UI is a bit more, erh, modernised than the FoxSat.
Only thing that I really don't like are the clicking buttons in the RCU.
The remote control mfgs keep telling me that these keys with membrane contacts used are actually faster and more responsive than the (cheaper) rubber-keys.
But I find it very difficult to get accustomed to the noise...
Incidentally, I have just returned from an 8-hour meeting today (in Warszaw) which included a bunch of the Humax technical guys.
The main thing that strikes me with Humax is their technical no-BS approach.
Their engineers are experienced, and know what their talking about. They also do not over-promise / under-deliver.
The software stack in both the FoxSat and the HDR-10x0 are mature and well-proven technologies.
And possibly that is one of the main assets of the Humax boxes - they don't crash very often.
(well sometimes they do - but then Again all software does!)
Well-made, and does the job.
In addition to that: the reception is top-of-the-range (without necessarily being *the best*) on almost all Humax boxes (at least the ones I have), sp I have no hesitation in recommending getting one of them.
I also opened my 6-year old Foxsat the other day - and there were no signs of bulging capacitors or anything like that. Again, well made.
In short: They work, and keep on doing so!
