Sorry I have now have unrelated posts running, but I was wondering whether I have a problem with my Humnax Recorder Remote Contro. Whereas in my previous experience the batteries in Remote Control last for months, the triple (AAA) in the Humax Remote don't seem to last for more than a few weeks at the most.
Is this a problem with Humax. At the rate they are being consumed it gets expensive (and ridiculous)

It does sound odd that the batteries do not last very long but if that is the case I would recommend re-chargable ones and always have a spare set handy. From my experience remotes with a new pair of AAA batteries tend to last about 12 to 18 months. It could be that one of the buttons is permanently depressed, I have a remote that can do this, the button tends to lock under the edge and thus is contantly sending a singnal to the stb hence the battery life would soon diminish.

Thanks. I have checked and that is not the problem. I will monitor the battery situation over a period of time and get onto Humax if it persists, unless anyone else has a suggestion.
