What do you mean 'found' ?

It is a receive/transmit dish, possibly Ku band but you would have to take the cover off to find out.

oo very interesting!

its planted next to the side of the road by a dump, so its more then likely being used to transmit satellite signal?

I've used a dish exactly like that at X-band, but it could be fitted with any microwave feed: C band, X Band, Ku Band.
If its transmitting and your standing in front of it, your eyes start to itch before you feel anything downstairs...all the bits with most water content. Been there, won't do it again!
I wouldn't go inside that fenced enclosure if I were you.

i see andrew's logo on the front and russian supral structure from the back..a bit confusing ...realy.. could you take some pictures without the front cover?

This is a long range andrews microwave troposcatter dish. Its kicking out a few watts i would not stand in frent of it unless you want your eyes damaged

This photo - a riddle for us? Try to make a photo with a torch, probably it will be better?
Louis Daguerre, did better a photo, in 1839.
Good example of a photo - of a photo made kitschcamp.
