I bought the starview a while back which can recieve cable as well as satallite hdtv.The remote control on my starview has stopped working i dont know why,ive put new batteries in but no signal comes from it.I bought it from a website that has now closed down does anyone know where i will get one,i need it to retune satallite and cable.On the back of the remote it says RoHS 2002/95/EC cheers steve
 
You would be better looking over at Techwatch my friend. We are purely a satellite forum, Techwatch deals mainly with Cable TV, so thats a good starting point for you.

As a purely electrical test, check that the remote is sending out an infra-red signal by pointing the remote into a digital camera. When you press a button you should see the LED blinking away on the camera screen.
