I just got a 7020 and need a lil help.

I notice the remote has a shift button and at the button there is a second function sort of record looking like button, I havnt quite figured out how to use it. I know how to set timers and click record via websys etc. But i want to be able to be watchingtv and just hit record on the remote. Is this possible?

In the manual there is a section on all the options for recording with the 7020. Time shift, timer and instant recording. Press the video button and then the video recording options are displayed. If you just press the record button a red dot appears on the screen to show its recording. If you press any buttons which will stop the recording a warning appears and asks for confirmation. You can watch a cannel from the same provider whilst recording another.

yea i found these but now it records blocky recordings and skipping whenever i use a cam such as newcamd / mgcamd, ive tried all images, perhaps its the hdd ?

FWIW my maxtor diamond 9 works with the hydra image. If the picture is only faulty on playback perhaps it is just your HDD. I'd check your cables, jumpers, reformat the drive and then run CHECK.
