I need a wind proof dish.

My Satellite Setup
Vu uno, VU Duo2, sky dish, 2 zone 2 dishes for 19.2 and 23.5. Satlink meter, rover STCeu meter. Tripod with a dish for messing around.

Due to reasons beyond my control my 95 cm solid dish keeps getting moved by the wind. the wind here is terrible. i cant relocate the dish as it isnt possible.

I have 2 options, a solid heavy dish (i have a dark motor and a 800 to power it) or a large mesh dish.

The heavy dish will just put more strain on the motor.

If very exposed and you have no option to move it, consider a 36v driven dish. They do a polar mount for the 1m Gibertini.

Damn yes you are good! relocation isnt possible, it is the only view south and i am in a very exposed position. floor mounting is to low for clearence.

A mesh dish wont make much difference - in windy weather the mesh will catch just as much wind as a solid dish so the only real alternatives are to use a smaller dish or somehow shelter the dish better

Or put up with realigning the dish of course.....
 
As above, you need a good polarmount dish design, which is highly unlikely to be DiSEqC all the way to the motor (though I have seen a couple)

So you will need a 36V linear actuator and a VBox type converter.
